Youth Transit Passes now available at City Hall

Youth living in the municipality of Victoria can now receive a monthly transit pass from City Hall. Youth aged 18 or under can explore the city by bus and travel for free to school, work, sports, events, shopping and recreation.

Victoria youth, their parents and/or guardians will be required to provide documentation and confirm their eligibility to participate in the City of Victoria’s free monthly transit pass program. Youth transit passes will be available after the 15th of each month for pick up at City Hall, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. On Thursday November 28 City Hall will extend its hours until 7 p.m.

Important Youth Transit Pass Information:

  • Each monthly pass provides unlimited rides on BC Transit bus and handyDART services (for registered handyDART customers)
  • Proof of age and residency is required for each month of participation (see website for details)
  • No replacement transit passes will be issued for lost or stolen cards
  • Youth can start in the program at any time with passes available mid-month
